Come for the waveless sea, stay for the Zarandeado! 🌴

To get to La SaranderĂa Beach Club from Puerto Vallarta, you will travel north into the neighboring state of Nayarit, taking about 40 to 60 minutes depending on your starting zone and traffic.

🚗 Option 1: Driving or Ride-Share (Uber/InDrive)

This is the fastest and most direct option via the main highway:

  • The Route: Head north out of Puerto Vallarta on Federal Highway 200 (Av. Francisco Medina Ascencio), crossing the Ameca River bridge into Nuevo Vallarta/Nayarit.

  • The Turn-Off: Continue past BucerĂas. Look for the exit signs for Punta de Mita / La Cruz de Huanacaxtle to merge onto the Punta de Mita Highway.

  • Arrival: Shortly after passing the Marina Riviera Nayarit entrance in La Cruz, follow signs for Playa La Manzanilla. Turn left onto the access road (Alcatraz/Manzanilla) leading down to the beach where La SaranderĂa offers free guest parking.

  • Ride-Share Tip: Uber or InDrive will drop you off directly, but it can sometimes be difficult or more expensive to catch an Uber back from La Cruz.

🚌 Option 2: Public Bus (ATM Bus)

Taking the local bus is highly affordable (roughly 30–50 MXN per person):

  • Where to Catch It: Board a green-and-white ATM (Autotransportes Medina) bus heading toward Punta de Mita. Excellent pickup spots include the front of Walmart/Sams Club (across from the PV Cruise Terminal) or outside the Puerto Vallarta Airport.
